Many area high school students are headed to perform at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School this weekend.
The State Individual Speech Competition will feature high school students from Knoxville, Pella, and Pella Christian on Saturday. Pella Speech Coach Suzi Jones says individual speech allows for a wide range of performance themes, topics, and ideas.
Click here for a list of Pella High Students moving on to state. Knoxville’s Kamryn Ryan in prose, Josie Pickering in poetry, and Alan Barkey is improvisation will perform in Cedar Rapids. PCHS students earning the I’s at the District event include: Malia Beatty in Storytelling and Lit Program, Joel Larson in Musical Theatre and Poetry, Sarah Meyer in Poetry, Maverick Risley in Storytelling, Jalayna Morgan in Poetry, and Ryan Van Gilst in Prose and Lit Program.
