Two Runnells felons are facing weapons charges after being found in possession of several firearms in January.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations issued warrants for 48-year-old Jay Dee Johnston and 42-year-old Jennifer Dawn Maze for Possession of a Firearm by a prohibited person. Johnston also was charged for possessing ammunition.
According to court documents, Johnston has a 1996 conviction in Jasper County for assault with a weapon and Maze has a felony conviction for prohibited acts in Polk County in 2009.
Both are scheduled to appear in Marion County District Court Tuesday.
