Sentencing has been handed down against a Des Moines man involved in a Hamilton assault last October.
30-year-old Todd Alan Kurth Sr was sentenced to five years probation Wednesday after pleading guilty to two counts of Domestic Abuse Assault, Class D felonies, and one count of First Degree Harassment. A Felony count of Willful Injury Resulting in Bodily Injury and a count for Possession of Marijuana were dismissed.
According to court records, the victim told police Kurth grabbed her and threatened to kill her, then threw her down on the ground, impeding her breathing. Kurth also allegedly bit the victim’s face during the altercation.
