An Iowa gun reform bill is moving ahead in the Iowa Statehouse.
State Representative Guy Vander Linden says there’s a good chance it will also be approved by the Senate sometime this week. He says the bill creates a new “permit to acquire firearms,” which is good for five years. It also contains a provision that allows children 14 years old or younger to have handgun training if the they are under adult supervision.
