The Pella Chamber of Commerce is hosting a pair of events aimed at improving leadership in crisis situations.
Pella Christian graduate Bob VandePol is with Pine Rest Mental Health Services and the Crisis Care Network, and will be the guest speaker at the events held on Wednesday, April 8th. He plans to share his first-hand experience of leading teams that responded with psychological first aid to thousands of tragedies, from those that will go down in history books to everyday trauma. He will speak at the Chamber’s quarterly meeting from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and at a leadership workshop from 1 to 3 p.m.
The membership meeting event costs $15 for chamber members and $25 for non-members, and the afternoon workshop costs $35 for chamber members and $65 for non-members. VandePol will also speak during chapel at Pella Christian High School and assist with training at Marion County Public Health. RSVP to the chamber at 628-2626 today.
