Able to get it in before the rain and storms rolled into town, the Pella High girls’ soccer team shutout Indianola at Pella High Stadium last night, 2 – 0. The Lady Dutch dominated the game, as the contest wasn’t as close as the final score indicates. A total of 24 shots were put on goal by Pella as opposed to the Indians’ four. Alice Lickteig scored first for the Lady Dutch all the way in the 75′, with an assist to Katie Canfield. Pella’s other goal came on a breakaway by Emma Thoreson. They begin the season 1 – 0 and they’ll head to Bondurant-Farrar next on Thursday.
