Pella Mayor Jim Mueller joined Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch in declaring April as Sexual Assault Awareness month at this week’s city council meeting.
Crisis Intervention Services requested the official proclamations as a way for citizens to assist in efforts to reduce assaults. They were also a reminder to citizens that Crisis Intervention Services has trained advocates available to provide assistance to survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.
