April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada wants drivers to understand that distracted driving means more than just texting and driving.

Losada says distracted driving can be anything from any sort of phone usage, to messing with the radio, or even eating behind the wheel.
Losada recommends taking the necessary precautions when operating a vehicle, such as turning off your cellphone completely or pulling over to the side of the road to take a call, if it’s absolutely necessary. You can hear more about distracted driving on Let’s Talk Knoxville.
