A special performance marking the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War will be featured at this year’s Tulip Time.
Steering Committee member Paul Jones says the 1st Brigade Band will participate in the Volks Parade and perform on the Tulip Toren stage Saturday, May 9th. He says the show will also tie back to one of Pella founders–Dominie Scholte, who held a firm anti-slavery stance leading up to the Civil War.
