Marion County residents are invited to bring in old electronics to be recycled in an environmentally safe manner.
The 11th annual e-Cycling event drop off is at the intersection of South and Clark Streets near Pella Corporation on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Accepted items include televisions, video games, computers and related components. Due to federal regulations, electronic waste items from businesses, schools, and churches will not be accepted. A commercial e-cycling event for businesses will be held on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Central College Facilities Planning & Management Building.
Accepted items include: computer monitors, pc’s, televisions, printers, video game systems, cameras, VCR’s, stereos, cell phones, keyboards, and laptops. Microwaves, appliances, tires, motors, oil, paint and CFL light bulbs are not accepted.
