Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says they will be creating master plans for a pair of projects that were deemed priorities from the community survey.
Stewart says park improvements, in particular at Young’s Park and the need for bike and walking trails were identified by the community survey as priorities.
Stewart says having master plans for these projects allows the city to apply for grant funding, as well as gives voters a better understanding of them for when they’re included as bond issues on the November ballot.
The Knoxville City Council approved the creation of both master plans Monday.
