Arguably the first big test of the Pella High girls’ soccer season comes tonight when they host the number one ranked team in Class 1A, Nevada, at the Pella Soccer Complex. The Lady Dutch fell to the Cubs, 2 – 0, last year, despite the fact that Pella High out-shot their opponents, 7 – 5. Pella is ranked seventh, but Coach Mark Howard says those numbers in front of both teams on the pitch today don’t carry a lot, if any, weight. The JV game gets going first today at 5:30 p.m. with kick-off of the varsity affair at 7:00.
