Lancial, Dustin Ray
A suspended prison sentence and probation were given to a Seymour man accused of stealing a log splitter from a Melcher-Dallas Farm.

34-year-old Dustin Ray Lancial pled guilty to 2nd degree theft, a Class D felony. A charge of 3rd degree burglary was dismissed.
Court documents indicate, on April 17th, a witness saw Lancial towing a $2300 hydraulic log splitter, which was stored inside a farm building.
After Lancial was picked up in Keokuk County on a separate charge, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office discovered that his shoeprints matched ones found at the crime scene.
Lancial was given two years’ probation, a five year suspended sentence, and must also pay a $5000 fine.
