Gearing up for the home stretch of the track schedule, both Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars were in good form at Cardinal High School yesterday. The Saber boys placed fourth out of 11 teams in the Bob Gerard Relays. Hunter Swope was fourth in the one-mile and two-mile runs, Dave Williams took the bronze in the 400 hurdles, and the 4 x 200 meter relay team placed second. For the Saints’ boys, they came in sixth as a team in points. Chase Wetterling won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes, and Waylon Balk was the bronze medalist in the long jump. The Saber girls tied for fifth; Liz Rowley finished third in the 800, and Maddie DeWit wound up third in the 100 meter hurdles and long jump. Sarah Wilson was fifth in the 400 meter dash for Melcher-Dallas’ gals. Full results are below.
