The first big step of a frantic three week farewell journey to the 2015 track and field season is on Monday for three of our area schools. Pella, Pella Christian, and Pleasantville all take part in their conference meets. The Dutch and Eagles are at Pella Christian, while the Trojans and the other Pride of Iowa schools go to Nodaway Valley. For the Pleasantville boys, they have looked strong this season, especially in the relay events. Coach Gabe Bakker is hoping for a top three team finish, and to accomplish that, he says his 12th graders will need to shine. The POI conference meet begins at 4:00 p.m. while the Little Hawkeye Conference teams start at 4:30.
