A significant severe weather system could make its way into the area on Mother’s Day.
The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe weather for the entire state of Iowa. The largest threats will be isolated tornadoes, straight line winds in excess of 70 MPH, and large hail, beginning in the late afternoon hours. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on alert and monitoring the developing weather situation.
