The 2015 outdoor Iowa Conference men’s championship belongs to Central once again. The Dutch wrapped up day three of the meet, with impressive performances all around. Sophomore Kody Dailey won the javelin for the second straight year, Eli Horton won the 1500, while Horton, Cole Decker, and Isaac Steffensmeier finished 1-2-3 in the 5000 meter run. The Dutch women were second; Abi Davis won the 100 and 200 meter dash, Allie McBroon crossed first in the 400, and Holly McKinney was second in the 3000 meter steeplechase. The women’s 4 x 100 and 400 meter relay teams also took home the conference gold. Central’s track and field teams head up to Wisconsin this Wednesday and Thursday for the La Crosse qualifiers for their first chance to get events to the NCAA Division III National Meet in Canton, New York, May 21-23.
