The Marion County Development Commission (MCDC) was honored with a Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Award during the SMART Economic Development Conference in Des Moines earlier this month.

The Professional Developers of Iowa BRE Awards Program recognizes the outstanding efforts of local and regional economic development initiatives in supporting growth and expansion of existing Iowa companies.
MCDC Executive Director Carla Eysink says “Understanding the key business climate issues that allow our existing industry to grow is key to the future economy of the area. Our focus is to grow wealth and economic opportunity within Marion County.”
