Turning in an extremely impressive first season as a member of the Central baseball team, freshman Dylan Diveney was picked to the D3baseball.com All-Central Region team as a starting pitcher yesterday. He led his Dutch with a 2.23 ERA, which he posted over nearly 61 innings of work, giving him a 5 – 4 record. Diveney held opponents to just a .212 batting average. His highlight performance this season came on the last day of the regular season, when he threw 9 2/3 innings of no-hit ball against Loras, before settling for a complete-game, one-hit shutout of the Duhawks. The freshman helped Central compile a 22 – 21 overall record and a third-place mark of 16 – 12 in the Iowa Conference.
