The Pella Police Department is warning local residents about a series of garage and vehicle burglaries that recently occurred in the northern part of Pella.
The Pella Police Department is investigating six burglaries that bear similarities in how they were perpetrated, the first of which was reported on Sunday, May 10th. Police say that no force was required to gain entry into or complete the theft, and in each case, a garage or vehicle targeted for burglary was unlocked and unsecured. As a reminder, the department asks that residents keep all homes, garages, and vehicles locked and to refrain from leaving valuables such as purses, wallets, cellphones or other devices in vehicles or in plain view. They encourage the use of motion activated or security lights on or near residences, garages and outbuildings.
