For the fourth time in seven weeks, the Knoxville Raceway was forced to call off races due to rain. It was actually drizzle, but the mist persisted to the point that it would have made for a very late night had track officials tried to re-work the surface. Racing had got underway and the second 360 heat race was completed before the drizzle became too much to over overcome.
