Playing the deepest into the postseason of any Iowa Conference school, the Central softball team finished the 2015 campaign with a No. 10 ranking in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll. Luther was the only other league school to be ranked, and they wound up at number 13. The Dutch finished the season at the super regional, where they fell no No. 4-ranked Linfield in two straight games. It was the 27th appearance in the NCAA Division III tournament, which is a record, and their 15th top-ten recognition in program history. Coach George Wares pushed his career mark to 1,043 – 347 – 3 now spanning 31 season, with the larger of those three numbers being a record in Division III.
