Carrying the momentum forward from their tournament win on Saturday, the Pella High softball team soared to a 5 – 1 record after defeating Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont last night, 5 – 3. Elyse Sadler was again the winning pitcher, striking out five and giving up five base knocks. Sara Tallman and Lydia Dingeman each had two hits. Pella’s girls face their biggest test of the season up to this point tonight at home against Dallas Center – Grimes. Not too far from the softball diamond in Pella, the Little Dutch baseball team will also take on the Mustangs in a showdown of two Top-Five ranked teams in Class 3A.
