One person has died as a result of a single car accident on Highway 163 late Wednesday evening.
The Pella Police Department tells KNIA/KRLS News the driver of a vehicle heading eastbound was ejected during a rollover accident at mile marker 42 just after 8 p.m. The Iowa State Patrol says the driver lost control and over corrected, which caused the vehicle to roll on the highway and then into the median. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Pella Police, Pella Fire, Pella Ambulance, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The Iowa State Patrol is handling the investigation.
