Getting a summer job is common for students, but starting a family business for the summer is an even greater task.
That’s what one Knoxville family is doing, as the Stewarts have created their own shaved ice business called “Sweet Summer Snow.” The business went through a trial run Tuesday.
Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says he came up with the idea of having his children run a summer business as a way to earn money for college and mission trips in the future.
“Sweet Summer Snow” officially opens today.
