UPDATE: The name of the driver involved in a fatal accident on Highway 163 has been released.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that Allison DeBoef of Oskaloosa lost control of her SUV in the eastbound lane near mile marker 42 just after 8 p.m on Wednesday. Police say she over corrected while steering, which caused the vehicle to roll on the highway and come to rest in the median. DeBoef was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Pella Police, Pella Fire, Pella Ambulance, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The Iowa State Patrol is handling the investigation.
