A rough way to start the week, PCM’s baseball and softball teams couldn’t solve Saydel as they each fell last night. The baseball game ended in five innings, with the Mustangs taking a 10 – 0 loss. The Eagles scored seven times in the fifth to add to their 3 – 0 lead after the third. Jerod DeVries had two hits, one of them for a double. Top-15 ranked PCM’s girls also had some trouble finding a groove, as they dropped 8 – 2. Rachel Freland was the losing pitcher, striking out seven. PCM softball falls to 7 – 4, the boys are 3 – 8. Mustang baseball plays Nevada at home next tomorrow night, and the softball team takes on Carlisle a bit later today.
