Many locations to the north and south of Marion County received the brunt of a storm system Thursday.
Knoxville received .42″ and Pella received .65″ of precipitation at the KNIA/KRLS studios in their respective cities. Many locations received half an inch to three quarters of an inch of rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch was in effect for Marion County throughout the duration of the day, and many warnings were prompted to the north and south of the area.
Thunderstorms are expected to return to the area on Saturday afternoon, but the threat of severe weather remains low at this time.
