West Elem project
Knoxville Community School District is moving forward with plans to renovate West Elementary.

During a work session Wednesday, the Knoxville School Board came up with a list of priority items for the renovation and an alternate “wish list” of items that can be added, depending on the bids for the project.
Superintendent Cassi Murra informed the board that $7 million in funding for the project could be borrowed against sales tax money. The District would still have over 2 million dollars in cash reserve and PPEL funds for other projects and emergencies.
A concept of the West Elementary project could be presented to the Knoxville School Board for a vote by the end of the month.
