PCM’s softball team ended a two-game losing streak with a 10 – 3 smacking of Gilbert on Friday. Rachel Freland won on the mound, giving up just four hits and striking out seven Tiger batters. Jayci Vos was the catalyst at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs, and a couple of runs scored. Molly Vignovich, Kayla Jennings, and Abby Waddell all went 2-for-4 offensively. The Mustangs improve to 8 – 5 on the year, and they have a tournament today at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. Pleasantville’s softball team beat Woodward-Granger 10 – 0, but fell to Ogden, 2 – 1. They are now 4 – 5, and they take on Madrid and Winterset to wrap up their stay at the Woodward-Granger tournament later this morning.
