May was a busy month for the Pella Dollars for Scholars organization, as they gave away 174 scholarships totaling $101,500 to area seniors.
These scholarships represent contributions from approximately 120 local businesses, organizations and individuals. This year, Pella Dollars for Scholars surpassed the $1 million mark in scholarships awarded to local graduates since its founding in 2000. Pella DFS board president Fred Koogler says it is the vision of their founders and the generosity of donors that make the program possible.
