The Knoxville City Council approved a signed agreement Monday with A.J. Mottet, owner of Dingus Lounge, to have his north parking lot paved by October 3rd.

The agreement was created as a result of Mottet asking for more time to have the work done at a previous meeting. He had previously been instructed by city staff to bring the parking lot up to compliance, but it hasn’t been done and the city wanted to set a firm deadline to have the paving completed.
It was recommended by Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart that any sort of extension should be put in writing.
According to the agreement, Dingus must update the bar’s sewer system and tap into city storm sewer. It also states that he is currently taking bids for the work or considering completing the project himself.
