The Melcher-Dallas softball team went 1-1 on Saturday in the Orient-Macksburg tournament. The Saints won the first game 15-8 against Orient-Macksburg, as Emily Krpan went 2-3 with three RBIs and four stolen bases and Megan Roush also added four stolen bases and three RBIs in game one. The Saints fell in game two, 4-1 to East Union and Megan Roush had the only run for Melcher-Dallas on a solo home run. The Saints are 7-13 on the year and return action Tuesday at Diagonal. The Melcher-Dallas baseball team had a 2-0 lead in the fourth, but could not hang on as they lost 12-2 in six innings to Mormon Trail. The Saints will take on Colfax-Mingo Tuesday night at home.
