“There’s nothing left. I mean, everything they ever worked for is gone.”

That’s how Stacy Johnson of Lovilia describes the destruction after an F-3 tornado swept away a home Monday evening.
The home, owned by Cecil and Sandra Showers, was taken away by the storm, while they were both inside.
Johnson believes they’re lucky to be alive. He says Cecil told him he had to pin Sandra down so she wouldn’t be sucked up by the winds.
Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson is assisting Monroe County with damage assessement after Monday’s severe weather.
Indiana Township Fire Chief Mike Legvold says his personnel are helping with the clean-up.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team had seven staff members reporting live on the storm from both our Knoxville and Pella studios, as well as calling in live reports and receiving information from the National Weather Service and WeatherEye meteorologists.
