One thing was for certain during the 2014-15 women’s basketball season at Central: the starting line-up was usually a mystery until shortly before tip-off. With so many injuries that plagued the Dutch, new, younger faces were popping into the mix and being shuffled around by Coach Chelsea Petersen and the rest of her staff, trying to find the best combination to put out onto the court. Given the situation, Coach Petersen says those underclassmen did a fantastic job last season of stepping up against actual competition and during practices. Petersen credits the five seniors who graduated for guiding the younger Dutch towards striving to get better, with their vocal leadership and messages in the locker room.
