A plea hearing has been scheduled for a Knoxville man accused of shooting another man in the head.

59-year-old Ricky Lee Hyatt has been charged with attempt to commit murder, a Class B felony, and willful injury – causing serious injury, a Class C felony. Hyatt entered a written plea of not guilty in December.

Hyatt was arrested on October 23rd at a residence on the 900 block of North Roche Street for allegedly shooting 28-year-old Sean Vrban of Knoxville in the head. Vrban survived the incident.

According to court documents, a plea agreement has been reached and a hearing date has been set for Friday.
