The Red Rock Area Community Action Program (RRACAP) is notifying the public that disaster applications are available at the Marion County Outreach Office.

Coordinator Nancy Hulgan says the Governor’s disaster emergency proclamation activated the Iowa Individual Assistance Program, which provides grants of up $5,000 for households with income levels up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

The grants can be used for home or vehicle repairs, replacement of clothing, property, or food, or the expense of temporary housing.

Applications are also available on the Iowa Department of Human Services website and must be submitted by August 14th.
