The Pleasantville softball team fell to Martensdale-St Mary’s last night 15-5 in the second round of class 1A regional play. The game lasted only five innings as the Trojans defense could not contain the hot hitting Blue Devil lineup, and the loss marks the third time this season the Blue Devils have defeated the Trojans. The young Pleasantville team will say goodbye to only two seniors, Traci Kunze and Alli Friday, and will potentially return 16 underclassmen to next year’s team. The Pleasantville Baseball team won their 21st game in a row in a 7-1 victory over Southeast Warren last night. Zeb Adreon got the start and pitched six innings for the Trojans giving up only one hit and striking out 14, while also picking up two hits at the plate. The seemingly unstoppable 28-3 Trojans have not lost since June 6, and will close out the regular season tonight at Iowa Christian Academy.
