The PCM softball team had a tall task in the regional final on Monday night, as they came up just short to no. 1 rated Solon 5-1. The Lady Mustangs gave Solon all they could handle but could not generate the offense with runners in scoring position. The PCM softball team had a great season going 23-11 and making the regional final for the second straight year. The PCM baseball team picked up a 13-3 victory in six innings over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in the first round of district play at Albia on Monday night. Clay Cooper and Chase Keuning each had two hits and two RBIs in the contest. Austin Brown was the winning pitcher tossing five strong innings. The Mustangs take the field tonight in the district semifinal against Davis County at Albia.
