On Tuesday, the Marion County Board of Supervisors discussed renewing a 28E agreement with Warren County Department of Human Services (DHS).

The previous agreement between the two counties expired at the end of February.

Supervisor Craig Agan was concerned about increases in the amount Marion County was paying out as part of the agreement, saying a significant amount was given to Warren County DHS following their move to a new building.

The board decided that Agan would be the point person for negotiating a new 28E agreement with Warren County DHS and even see if both county boards could meet on the matter.
