Some modifications could be coming for the lampposts around the Knoxville Square.

A few of the lamps, erected as part of the Streetscape project, are being blocked by awnings and not lighting the sidewalks properly. Assistant City Manager Aaron Adams doesn’t see this as an issue that will slow the Streetscape project down. He says the city will look at the best aesthetic value that will provide the best light in the downtown area.

Project engineer Greg Roth will look into seeing if a modification to the light fixtures can be made.
