The Little Dutch drive for a state baseball championship came to tough end Friday afternoon.
Pella took a two-run lead into the 7th, but were unable to hang on as Harlan scored three times to defeat the Little Dutch by a final of 6 to 5 in the semi-finals of the Class 3A State Baseball Tournament.
Tanner Wood had thirteen strikeouts in six plus innings of work for Pella.
The top-ranked Little Dutch season ends with a record of 34 and 5. Harlan will battle the number 2 seed Waverly-Shell Rock in the Class 3A State Baseball Championship game Saturday at 5pm.
