The recent wet weather has helped Marion County crops grow, but it’s also caused situations ripe for plant disease.
Marion County Extension Director Dale Miller says crop planes and helicopters have been in the air spraying cornfields in an attempt to limit disease situations.
Miller adds the soybeans have been a little better with the main issue being weed control. He says some consecutive days of warm, dry weather is needed to improve crop conditions.
