Streetscape Robinson

The final piece of the Streetscape project in Knoxville will be completed today with the reopening of Robinson Street.

Assistant City Manager Aaron Adams says road striping for parking and driving lanes was done Thursday and the storm sewer intake grate was set in place. Adams says follow-up issues with Robinson shouldn’t result in lane closures and won’t be taken care of until after Nationals.

The Streetscape project cost a little over $3 million, with much of the work going to replace a 100-year-old underground infrastructure.
