With a rough conference slate before them this season, the Pella Christian baseball team knew that in order to bolster their record, they would have to take care of business outside of the Little Hawkeye Conference. For the most part, the Eagles did just that. PC grabbed a record of 9 – 4 in games outside of the league, including impressive victories over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, West Marshall, and Albia over the course of the year. Coach Nate Johnson says those “W’s” towards the end of the regular season were big for his team’s poise heading into the postseason. Pella Christian did come up a little short against the Blue Demons the second time around, but bring back just about everyone for hopefully a deeper run in the 2016 playoffs.
