A Knoxville man was flown to a Des Moines hospital after the tractor he working on accidently ran over him.

Knoxville Fire and Rescue responded to a call at just after 4:30pm Tuesday afternoon at a location along Hwy G44. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt identified the man as 56-year-old Tim Neef.

Knoxville Fire Chief Jim Mitchell says the man was working on the tractor when it accidentally started, running him over in the process.

Neef was taken by Mercy Two helicopter out of Knoxville to a hospital in Des Moines with unspecified injuries. His condition was released.

Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.
