Three years’ probation was the sentence handed down against a Mahaska County man involved in a pair of Marion County incidents last fall.
31-year-old Chadwick Paul Hynick was found guilty of eluding while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony, and leaving the scene of an accident.
According to court documents, Hynick was operating a 4-wheeler along Highway G-71 in early October that was involved with an accident that injured a 16-year-old driver. Then in November, Hynick was involved in a high-speed chase through Mahaska and Marion Counties after an Oskaloosa police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
Hynick’s three years’ probation will be added to the sentences he’s received in Mahaska County.
