The annual tax free holiday begins in Iowa Friday.

The weekend was created to allow residents an opportunity to purchase apparel without a sales tax. Karen Eischen with the Pella Chamber of Commerce encourages people to shop locally during the holiday, saying that the county has many businesses where residents can take advantage of the tax free days.
