Three juveniles died in a Thursday afternoon crash near New Sharon.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that 16 year old Jamie Singletary, 13 year old Carson Singletary, and 10 year old Christian Singletary, all of New Sharon, were killed in a two car collision at the intersection of Queens Ave and 130th in Mahaska County.

The other vehicle was driven by Shawn M. Schippers, also of New Sharon, who survived the accident. Counselors will be available at North Mahaska Schools today from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to support students, staff, and the community.

The accident remains under investigation. New Sharon Fire and Rescue, the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, Mahaska County Ambulance, and the Iowa DOT assisted at the scene.
