Many throughout the community and the state of Iowa have supported the family of three juveniles that died in a car crash near New Sharon.

Last Thursday, 16-year-old Jamie, 13-year-old Carson, and 10-year-old Christian Singletary, all of New Sharon, were killed in a collision at the intersection of Queens Ave and 130th Street in Mahaska County. More than $40,000 was raised on a GoFund Me page set up by a family friend to help cover funeral expenses.

U.S. Bank in New Sharon is collecting donations, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the family. A representative with the branch tells KNIA/KRLS News that any donations can be made at any U.S. Bank location, including New Sharon and Pella, by contributing to the Sara Hicklin account.
